Who It's For

The Parent-Teacher is designed for everyday parents who want to support their child’s learning effectively and thoughtfully.

It is particularly suited to:

Home Educators

Parents educating or homeschooling their children full-time or part-time who want structure, support and curriculum-aligned learning that actually feels manageable.

Homework Supporters

Parents juggling busy schedules who want learning at home to align with what’s happening at school.

Professional Working Mothers

Mothers balancing professional careers or businesses who want informed guidance without pressure or judgement, while supporting strong academic progress without compromising family relationships or structure.

Parents Leading Learning — With Professional Guidance

Support with The Parent Teacher is designed around one core belief:

Parents are a critical part of a child’s academic success - when they are properly supported.

That support take different forms, depending on the needs of your family:

Exam-aligned coaching for parents who want to understand what their child is being assessed on and how to support learning effectively at home (Done WITH You)

Expert-led tuition following in-depth diagnostics, designed to strengthen academic foundations before targeted exam preparation begins (Done FOR You)

The Parent Teacher exists to help parents understand how learning actually works, what genuinely makes a difference at home, and how to support children in ways that align with school expectations rather than working against them.

For families who home educate, this means ensuring children develop the academic depth, confidence and competitive edge needed to move into the next stage of their education and life

- with clarity and assurance.

This isn’t about doing more.

It’s about doing the right things, in the right way, at the right time - for your child

If you've ever thought:

💡 “I want to support my child properly, but I’m not sure what good looks like.”
💡 “I want clarity on how to help without undoing what school is teaching.”
💡 “I don’t want guesswork — I want a clear, proven approach.”

If you’re seeking clarity, alignment and a proven approach, you’re in the right place.

Our Approach

Schools focus on delivering academic content in the classroom.
Our work complements this by helping learning and emotional regulation work better at home.

We break down how children actually learn, and share practical, evidence-informed strategies that align with what’s happening in school — not compete with it.

The aim is to help parents create calm, structured home environments where learning is sustainable and realistic — for children and the adults supporting them.

Communication & Access

We send one email each month with the magazine.
All other resources and updates live inside the free membership, which you can access in your own time.

Members receive email notifications when new resources, challenges or events are added, so you can stay informed without constant inbox noise.

Some structured programmes include more frequent communication where this is part of how the programme is delivered.

What We Do?

The Parent-Teacher provides clear, practical guidance

Avoid guesswork, overload and unnecessary pressure

Everything is designed to be realistic, structured and usable in everyday family life.

for parents supporting their child’s learning and wellbeing — whether their child is in school or educated at home.

Our work sits between school and home, helping parents to:

  • understand how children learn and develop

  • make sense of behaviour, emotional regulation and academic progress

  • create consistent routines and expectations that support learning

Traditional schooling doesn’t always fit modern family life

With homeschooling on the rise and more parents taking an active role in their child’s education, families are looking for ways to support learning that reduce stress and fit real life.

Today’s parents want more flexibility, more choice, and a clearer sense of what actually matters — especially as remote work, AI and a fast-changing world reshape how families live, work and learn. For some, that means homeschooling full- or part-time.

For others, it means world-schooling, travelling more, or simply stepping away from constant school battles and rigid routines.

What’s needed isn’t more pressure — but clarity, structure and options that work in real family life.

If you’re looking for a clearer, more structured way to support your child’s learning, the free membership is a sensible place to begin.

If your family is following a structured, exam-aligned pathway, professional programmes are available by application.

What is a Parent-Teacher?

"A Parent-Teacher is a parent who plays an active role in their child's learning at school or at home by guiding, supporting and encouraging their growth every step of the way.

They don’t just wait and hope for the best—they lead. They seek the right guidance, because their child's future is not a lottery."

"Success isn’t left to chance.

Parent-Teachers lead, so their children succeed"

🧠 Practical wisdom. 💡 Actionable tools. ❤️ Real support.

Why Choose The Parent-Teacher?

Meet Your Guide: Sabina Bashir

🌷Founder of The Parent Teacher.

Qualified teacher | Tutor | Home educator | Mindset Coach| Mum of 3.

With over 30 years of classroom experience, teaching children from early years through to GCSEs — including SATs and 11+ — Sabina has seen first-hand how complex supporting a child’s education can be for families.

Her own children moved through the school system and into professional careers. But when her youngest began struggling in school at age seven and learning shifted to home education, Sabina saw the system from a very different perspective — one that reshaped her work and focus.

Today, Sabina helps parents gain clarity, structure and practical insight into how learning works, so they can support their children effectively without unnecessary pressure or overwhelm.

Because when education doesn’t quite fit, families need informed guidance and realistic options — not silence, confusion or guesswork.

Sabina has worked alongside internationally recognised experts, including Dr. John Demartini, to deepen her understanding of human behaviour and how parents can approach learning with greater clarity and perspective.

Sabina’s work focuses on helping parents make informed, realistic choices about learning — so education fits family life, rather than competing with it.

She is the author of The Parent-Teacher, where this approach is explored in more depth.

Imagine this…

  • You feel clearer about how to support learning at home.

  • Home learning feels calmer and more consistent, even during difficult phases.

  • Your child becomes more engaged and resilient in their approach to learning.

  • School challenges are approached with confidence and structure.

This is possible - and it starts here.

Imagine this…

❤️You know exactly how to support your child’s learning at home.
❤️You feel calm and confident — even when school feels chaotic.
❤️Your child is more focused, more resilient and more connected to you.
❤️School struggles no longer feel like battles.

This is possible - and it starts here.

If you've ever thought:

💡“I’m not qualified to teach my child.”

💡“I don’t know how to help them when they’re struggling.”

💡“I feel lost when it comes to schoolwork or homework.”

You're not alone — and you're not failing. You simply haven’t been given the tools, training or support you needed… until now.

“Teaching doesn’t just belong in schools, it belongs at the kitchen table, on the living room floor and in the hands of parents who care.”

What is the Parent Support Group and how do I join?

Our Parent Support Group is a paid online community where for a small monthly fee, you can join other like-minded parents, get advice, share challenges and connect with Sabina Bashir, a teacher with 30 years of teaching experience. You’ll have direct access to support, practical help and encouragement when you need it most. You can join via the website or the link we send with the magazine.

Will I get daily emails or too much content?

Nope. We send one email a month with the magazine, and we provide all updates in our FREE membership which you can access at your leisure. Although, you will be notified of updates to the membership by email, to keep you informed of changes such as when there’s a new resource, challenge or event. No spam—just helpful, uplifting support delivered straight to your inbox.

Unless you have signed up to and agreed to a program which provides daily emails of course - like our Spark Wellbeing Program.

How do your programs differ from what schools provide?

Schools often focus solely on academic content. Our approach is holistic—supporting both learning and mental health at home. We help you understand the why behind your child’s struggles and offer real-world strategies that work with—not against—what they’re learning in school. Our programs are also about YOU as well as your child. Because a frustrated, stressed out parent, does not make the most effective home educator.
